Spencer Room in the Newman Center For the Performing Arts
Cost: $500
Become a donor to the Philemon Foundation at this exclusive event! There will be hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and discussion, as well as a formal presentation by Dr. Shamdasani in which the Red Book Exhibit as shown in New York and Los Angeles comes to life.

“The Way of What is to Come”: Reading Liber Primus

7 pm to 9 pm
Davis Auditorium in Sturm Hall
Cost: $30 ($20 for current Jung Society of Colorado members)
Dr. Sonu Shamdasani introduces us to reading Liber Primus – the first parchment signature of Jung’s Red Book. Dr. Shamdasani will reconstruct the sequence of events that underlay it, the various levels of elaboration and commentary, and Jung’s subsequent attempt to translate its conceptions into his scholarly writings.

The Dramatis Personae of Liber Primus

Cost: $125 ($135 with box lunch)
In Liber Primus we encounter the Spirit of the Depths, the Spirit of the Time, the Killed Man, a Scarab, a Youth, Siegfried, Elijah, Salome, the Serpent and the Soul. In this seminar, we will explore these figures, the landscapes of their emergence and their interrelation. Dr. Shamdasani will start us on this exploration, and with his guidance we will enter the world of Liber Primus. (it will be expected that participants have read this section of the Red Book).

JOURNEY CONFERENCE: “MOVING TOWARD WHOLENESS”

OCTOBER 14-17, 2010 (PRE-CONFERENCE ON OCTOBER 13, 2010)

Journey Conferences is taking reservations for “Moving Toward Wholeness” October 14-17, 2010 during the beautiful Fall Foliage Season in the Mountains of North Carolina at Laurel Ridge Conference Center .  This International Conference program features presentations by: Robert Moss, the pioneer of Active Dreaming, an original synthesis of shamanism and modern dreamwork; Muriel E. McMahon, a Canadian Jungian analyst, teacher, and Elder in the Algonkin, Kipawa First Nations tradition; and The Rev. John L. Martin, D. Min. . Along with featured presentations, there are special events and  sixteen workshops — five of which are offered by Jungian analysts and the rest by other highly qualified leaders.

In service of the purpose of Journey Conferences: “to explore and further the conversation of Christianity and other faiths with psychology rooted in the work of C. G. Jung in order to foster health and wholeness in ourselves and our world, ” the workshops include a broad array of topics: The Spiritual Warrior Within; Dreaming with the Departed; Jung and Play; Mandala: A Tool for Inner Work; Transformation Through Inner Revelation;Art and Yoga: Bringing in Awareness through the Mandala-Lotus Experience; THE PERFECT DANCE: Understanding Relationships;  The Inner Marriage: Love, Relationships and the Search for Wholeness; The Enneagram and Centering Prayer: Complementary Tools to Uncover and Transform Shadow Qualities of the Unconscious;The Annunciation and The Original Face: A Depth Psychological Approach;  Dreams & Spiritual Growth; The Self’s Evolving Revelation: Exploring the Mandelbrot set as a Newly Emerged Symbol of the Self;   Jung’s Red Book and the Prospect for a New God Image Emerging in the 21st Century;Grace and the Transcendent Function;  Coming Home to Ourselves: Tara and the Black Madonna; The Mysticism of Kabbalah:  The Connection to Jung and a Kabbalistic/Jungian Framework for Dreamwork.

Preceding The Moving Toward Wholeness Conference are three concurrent stand-alone pre-conference events, which begin with dinner (October 13) the evening before and end at 4 PM (October 14) prior to onsite registration for the “Moving Toward Wholeness” Conference.  These events include: The Language of the Soul  led by: John and Carolyn Martin; Healing from Within™: Combining Psychology and Spirituality to Heal the Soul, led by Benig Mauger;  and a series of events led by: Muriel McMahon: Dream Catcher Gathering;  Preparing for the Sacred; and Going to the Land.
